It was made in 2005, and it is the fastest ever production car. The highest spead it reached was <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: -webkit-sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; ">408.47 km/h (253.81 mph), <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; ">done by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_May">James May</a>.</span></span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9whNOvdjwdVi9gum767cCmg5qlKtjPndS02-ilKiSGWl-U1u9NC18ZmoEVjWIe3shhHBbMW3wf9TjxkOBNObtjtN1dQxRnzDbpJDKaX4eOVfKPoBS4dTqbWwJgudVQwryIeD77ZiCAgw/s1600-h/veyron.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9whNOvdjwdVi9gum767cCmg5qlKtjPndS02-ilKiSGWl-U1u9NC18ZmoEVjWIe3shhHBbMW3wf9TjxkOBNObtjtN1dQxRnzDbpJDKaX4eOVfKPoBS4dTqbWwJgudVQwryIeD77ZiCAgw/s320/veyron.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322439065981361314" /></a><div style="text-align: justify;">It has a w-16 engine, around 700 horse power, goes from <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: -webkit-sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; ">0 – 100 – 0 km/h time of 8.6 seconds </span>and costs around 1.1 million euro (1.5 million dolars!). Yeah, I know, it's not for the mortal, but I'll say it again, it's a damn nice car! <br /></div>I.V.http://www.blogger.com/profile/12563880333928641436noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8151849936881114428.post-68188616094028432152009-03-24T14:28:00.000-07:002009-03-24T14:44:07.213-07:00Hey, I wan't to Write About Cars!<div style="text-align: justify;">I was actually inspired by the best show on TV that is about cars - <a href="http://www.topgear.com/">Top Gear</a>. It showed me some aspects that I was never able to grasp, you know, being a total dummy at the subject of cars. But, watching those guys explain everything in simple terms, made me wanna know something more about cars. <br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I thought I'd start with my favourit car of all time - the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette_C4#ZR-1">Corvette ZR-1</a>. But, you see, the problem is that I am not interested in the new edition from 2009, but the original ZR-1, the one that didn't have a glass seal on the hud under which there is another metal cover?! What is up with that? They thought they made it more aerodynamic and a lot more modern looking, but in fact, they just ruined a perfectly good car! </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkMHzabq0YD3R4Q-fYQVokm0dC6y6Rtgf-DKrk-NYb7IEXO1qzPvoA1-o8vV1TaTfdxi962eCjkukdf0b19xug0IY0af3ygtMb5_3gHGOhZIwvulKpdnXuXxBmars-Q-CZdgRvC32Hmfw/s320/ZR1+2009.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 176px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316870515892861282" /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The price of the original ZR-1 is around $65.000, the new edition is nearly $100.000. It is a mild rise, but it's not worth it, because it is so much worse thatn the original concept. Maybe it is the price to pay for that <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(44, 57, 61); line-height: 25px; font-family:'Lucida Grande';font-size:15px;">6.2L supercharged engine, but...</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">If I ever buy a car, it will be the Corvette ZR-1! The original! </div>I.V.http://www.blogger.com/profile/12563880333928641436noreply@blogger.com0
